We’re located at the foot of the Cherokee Mountains in the East Tennessee countryside. Lot’s of wild edibles if you know who to ask such as blueberries, black raspberries, nut trees, and chicory. It stays cooler up here than down in Greeneville, and we get magnificent cool winds. Sometimes when it’s been raining the clouds will flow over the mountain like water. We also have our fare share of wildlife- plenty of rabbits, the occasional deer, raccoons, foxes, turkeys, killdeer, cardinals, bluebirds, hummingbirds, Canadian geese, various hawks and birds of prey, whippoorwill, doves, swifts, woodpeckers, and many more. We also have free ranging cats, all fixed, spayed, and vaccinated. Also friendly!
There is a trail that leads to the top of the mountain to the fire tower outlook. Good for hikers or horseback riders. There is also a separate road for cars. There is also a road/trail that goes down the other side of the Mountain to the Burnett Gap area. Our ranch is off the beaten path, yet located within an easy drive of beautiful hiking locations such as the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We are also near to the relaxing Hot Springs and historic Asheville, home of the Biltmore Estate.
Our friendly team will be happy to point you in the right direction. Whether you’re interested in learning about hosting a family reunion, or you’re interested in a romantic getaway for two, we’re here to help.
